About Courtney:
Founder and CEO of NatureSTEAM
Courtney King is a native Arkansan, nonprofit founder, and the 2025 recipient of the NWA Weaver Award. A former Senior Class President at Alma High School, Courtney is currently on the Dean's List in the final semester of her senior year at the University of Arkansas’s Fulbright College, where she is completing a BA in Studio Arts with a STEM certificate and minor in Art History.
Courtney's experience is rooted in more than a decade of living and working in the Ozark National Forest along the Mulberry River. Courtney brings professional expertise to her land stewardship as a Certified Interpretive Guide and Leave No Trace Instructor, experience she honed while serving as a facilities manager at Hobbs State Park. Courtney combines academic excellence, certified technical expertise, and a heart for protecting our land as the founder of NatureSTEAM.
